Privacy Policy

This document describes what actually happens to your data on this website — based on how the website is really built. We do not mention tools we do not use.

1. Summary

The website does not track anyone — no analytics or advertising pixel runs on it, and no third-party server is contacted during your visit.

The website has no form or registration. We only receive your data when you email or call us yourself.

2. What data we process

a) When you write to us or call us

We process what you send or tell us yourself: your name, email address or phone number and the content of the message. We keep emails in our mailbox as ordinary mail; we do not store them in any database or CRM.

Purpose: to answer your question or enquiry.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (steps taken at your request prior to entering into a contract) and Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (our legitimate interest in replying to messages).

b) Server logs

The website’s hosting automatically records standard technical data about access — IP address, browser type and time. They serve the operation and security of the website; we do not use them for analytics or profiling.

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in the functioning and security of the website).

c) Data stored in your browser

The website remembers only two things in your browser: that you have seen the cookie information and — if you clicked the switch — whether you want light or dark mode. This data stays on your device and is not sent anywhere. Details are in the cookie policy.

3. Who receives the data

We do not sell data and do not provide it to anyone for marketing. Only these providers are involved (processors under Art. 28 GDPR):

Vercel Inc. (USA, standard contractual clauses) — website hosting and server logs.
Google (Google Workspace) — our mailbox, which holds the messages you send us.

4. How long we keep data

We keep data only as long as necessary for the purpose for which we obtained it, or as long as the law requires. After that we delete or anonymise it. Specific periods:

Your emails and enquiries: as long as necessary to handle the enquiry and for further communication, at most 12 months from the last message. On request we will delete them sooner.
Server logs: according to the hosting provider’s periods (Vercel), at most a few days; we do not use them for analytics or profiling.
Accounting documents (invoices, if a contract is concluded): 10 years from the end of the year in which they were issued (§ 35(3) of Act No. 431/2002 Coll. on Accounting).
Data in the browser: until you delete it; the cookie bar choice for at most 12 months.
Data in the Terminuj booking service (business accounts, bookings, businesses’ customers): for as long as the account exists; after a business is deleted, 7 days for restoration, then we delete it (invoices 10 years). We anonymise a business’s customer who has had no booking or visit for 36 months, keep security logs for 365 days and records of notifications sent for 90 days. Details in section 7.

5. Your rights

Under the GDPR and Act No. 18/2018 Coll. on the Protection of Personal Data, you have the right:

of access — to know what data we process about you,
to rectification of incorrect data,
to erasure of data,
to restriction of processing and to data portability (Art. 18 and 20 GDPR),
to object to processing based on legitimate interest (Art. 21 GDPR).

Just write to podpora@terminuj.com. We will reply without undue delay, and within one month at the latest.

You can lodge a complaint with the Office for Personal Data Protection of the Slovak Republic (Úrad na ochranu osobných údajov Slovenskej republiky), Galvaniho 7/B, 821 04 Bratislava, dataprotection.gov.sk, statny.dozor@pdp.gov.sk. You can also lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority of another EU Member State in which you have your habitual residence or place of work, or in which the alleged infringement took place (Article 77 GDPR).

6. Cookies

The website uses only what is strictly necessary and therefore does not ask for consent. You can display the cookie information again via ; the full text is in the cookie policy.

7. The Terminuj booking service

This policy applies to this website. The Terminuj booking service (registration, businesses’ booking pages, calendar and business admin) runs at app.terminuj.com, and the processing of data in it, including all retention periods, is described in its privacy policy.

When a business registers in the service, we verify the Company ID (IČO) in the register (we may verify the phone number with an SMS code) and, from the IP address and the device data that the browser sends by itself, we create a one-way fingerprint so that the same business does not receive the free trial repeatedly. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in preventing misuse (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR); we keep the record for 12 months from registration (section 2c of the service’s policy).

For the data of the service’s users (owners and staff of businesses), we are the controller. For the data of businesses’ customers (people who book an appointment), the business is the controller and we are its processor under Art. 28 GDPR — the processing agreement is set out in section 10 of the terms of use.

If what the website does changes, we will update this document and the date of the last update at the top.
